Chelsea, led by their Head Coach Enzo Maresca, are set to go head to head with Danish outfit FC Copenhagen in the Round of 16 of the 2024/25 UEFA Conference League, with the second leg of this crucial tie against the Danish Giants taking place at the famous and historic Stamford Bridge on Thursday 13th March 2025.

The Blues are going into this tie as favourites, and they are also amongst the leading contenders to win this entire competition this season, and victory at the Bridge in West London would only aid their cause as they would take a step closer to the final by securing themselves passage into the Quarter Finals.

In the League Phase itself, Chelsea matched their expectations by finishing at the summit of the table after earning no less than 18 points after winning all 6 of their games. Their most eye catching victory came against Greek giants Panathinaikos, who they were able to comfortably beat 4 -1 away from home in Greece thanks to goals from Joao Felix (22’, 55’), Mykhailo Mudryk (49’), as well as a successful penalty from Christopher Nkunku (59’). In the League Phase, they enjoyed a standout victory against Scottish side Hearts, who they were able to beat 2 – 0 in Denmark thanks to goals from Amin Chiakha (48’) and Kevin Diks (78’), the latter of whom scored from the penalty spot late on in the second half.

Copenhagen were also victorious against the likes of Belarus’ Dinamo Minsk (2 – 1) and Poland’s Jagiellonia (2 – 1). They also got a creditable 1 – 1 draw against Spanish outfit Real Betis away from home.
