Sean Dyche’s Everton are set to go toe to toe with a Chelsea team led by their Italian Head Coach Enzo Maresca at Goodison Park in the 2024/25 Premier League season. With a potential mid-table finish firmly in sight, they will have a stronger chance of realising this ambition with a win against the Blues.

Everton will want to make their final-ever season at Goodison Park memorable, with the Toffees set to move to the 52,888-capacity Everton Stadium from the start of the 2025/26 season. They have been at their current ground since they left their original home, Anfield, in 1892.

Sean Dyche, formerly of Watford and Burnley, took charge of Everton on 30th January 2023 as the successor to the previous Head Coach Frank Lampard on Merseyside. Last season, under the stewardship of now-ex-head Coach Mauricio Pochettino, the Blues from West London finished in 6th place, securing them a place in the UEFA Europa Conference League after Manchester United won the 2024 FA Cup after beating their cross-city rivals Manchester City 2 – 1 at Wembley.

These two clubs have played each other in all competitions 192 times, and Chelsea has a superior record with 76 victories compared with the Toffees’ 60. To date, there have been 56 draws between these two teams.
