Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Chicago Bears NFL London 2024

Jacksonville Jaguars 16 – 35 Chicago Bears Review

The Bears sealed their third consecutive win and their fourth of the current season to date following an enthralling game against the Jaguars at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

A 61,182 strong crowd was there to witness the second and final NFL Game to take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London on Sunday, where the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Chicago Bears went head to head in the British Capital.

The stakes in each game of the 2024/25 NFL season are high, and this contest between the Jaguars and the Bears was most certainly no different. Starting with the Jaguars, they have won once so far, in what was a 37 – 34 success against the Indianapolis Colts at the TIAA Bank Field. They have also faced the likes of the Miami Dolphins, the Cleveland Browns, the Buffalo Bills, and the Houston Texans before taking on the Bears.

Moving on to the side from Chicago, the Bears have four wins to their name this season so far, as of the time of writing. Ahead of this game, they had secured victories against the likes of the Tennessee Titans (24 – 17), the Los Angeles Rams (24 – 18), and most recently the Carolina Panthers (36 – 10). They have suffered just two defeats before facing the Jaguars, which were against the Houston Texans (19 – 13) and the Indianapolis Colts (21 – 16).

By the time this game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Chicago Bears had come to an end at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Bears had managed to emerge with a convincing 16 – 35 victory in the English Capital.

Match Review:

At the beginning of the contest, the Jacksonville Jaguars did drive forward to break the deadlock, but some errors did prevent them from scoring their desired touchdown, with Wide Receiver Gabe Davis dropping two passes in the end zone. As a result, it was to be a field goal for the Jags instead, which still put them firmly on the scoreboard at 3 – 0.

Caleb Williams was the star of the show with the Quarterback throwing no less than four touchdown passes throughout the game. Williams had made history as the first Quarterback to ever achieve this admirable feat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He was one of two rookie QBs on the field that day alongside Trevor Lawrence. Both players were No. 1 overall draft picks.

A touchdown from Tight End Cole Kmet meant that the Bears took a 3 – 7 lead, before scoring yet another touchdown just before halftime to extend his side’s advantage with the scoreboard standing at 3 – 14 in his side’s favour.

This was followed early on in the Third Quarter by Wide Receiver Keenan Allen, who became the latest Chicago Bears player to add to the scoreline thanks to a touchdown which made it 20 – 3. The Jaguars did then score a touchdown themselves to eat into their opponents’ advantage when Gabe Davis scored a crucial touchdown to make the scoreboard read 10 – 21, still in favour of the Chicago Bears at the end of the third quarter.

At the start of the fourth and final quarter of the contest, Keenan Allen got another touchdown to increase his side’s lead to 18 points to make it 10 – 28 to the Bears at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. There was consolation for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the final few moments when Gabe Davis scored a touchdown after receiving a pass from Trevor Lawrence.

There was, however no time for a comeback from the Jags, who were in the end on the wrong end of a 16 – 35 defeat against the Chicago Bears in the English Capital. They do though have the chance to return to winning ways when they face the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon at Wembley Stadium.
