In 2025 Ascot Racecourse will once again host some of the biggest horse racing events in the country, with the best horses from both flat and National Hunt Racing competing at the iconic Berkshire venue.

There are many incredible race meetings taking place throughout 2025.

The first race meeting for 2025 will be the Clarence House Chase Race Day, which is set to take place on Saturday 18th January 2025. It is a National Hunt steeplechase for horses aged five or older, and it is run over 2 miles and a furlong.

Next will be the latest renewal of the Betfair Ascot Chase Race Day, which will be on Saturday 15th February 2025 at the iconic and historic Ascot Racecourse. It is a crucial fixture in the jump racing season. It featured the prestigious Betfair Ascot Chase and the Reynoldstown Novices’ Chase, the latter of which is an opportunity to continue preparations for the Cheltenham Festival. This event features some established names, as well as some potential stars for the future.

Then comes the 2025 Spring Family Race Day on Sunday 30th March. This is an event that sees the Jumps season out in style, and it features a number of enthralling races, as well as some great activities in what is a great day out for all.

On Wednesday 30th April, the latest Ascot Trials Day will be taking place, where there will be a number of tremendous races to give an indicator as to who may come out on top at the highly coveted and historic Royal Ascot meeting in June. One of the standout races on the day is set to be the Commonwealth Cup Trial Stakes.

The Peroni Nastro Azzurro May Racing Weekend will be taking place from Friday 9th May to Saturday 10th May 2025. The main feature of the Saturday is the Victoria Cup, which holds an iconic status. It is a seven furlong heritage handicap most recently won by Tom Marquand on board The Wizard Of Eye, who fended off competition from the likes of Joe Leavy’s Ramazan and Pat Cosgrove’s Bless Him, who settled for second and third place finishes respectively in the end.

Then comes the iconic Royal Ascot Meeting for 2025, which will be taking place over the course of five days from Tuesday 17th to Saturday 21st June. No less than eight Group One races take place, and the most famous race is arguably the Ascot Gold Cup, which will be taking place on Ladies Day, which is on Thursday 19th June.

The most recent Ascot Gold Cup in 2024 was won by Kyprios, with Jockey Ryan Moore on board. Moore also won the 2013 Gold Cup on Estimate to make Queen Elizabeth II the first ever reigning British Monarch to have ever won this race.

Next up is the Summer Mile Race Weekend over the course of two days, from Friday 11th to Saturday 12th July 2025. There is an incredible atmosphere, alongside fabulous weather and enthralling racing at the historic Ascot Racecourse, making this a great event for all to attend.

The QIPCO King George Weekend will be taking place from Friday 25th to Saturday 26th July 2025. The famous QIPCO King George Diamond Day is set to return once more on the second day, the highlight of which is the Group 1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth QIPCO Stakes, which were won in 2024 by Goliath who was ridden by Jockey Christophe Soumillon.

Next up is the famous Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup, which is set to make its return to Ascot Racecourse on Saturday 9th August 2025. The day sees a six race contest take place, where jockeys compete in teams (Great Britain & Ireland, Europe, the Rest Of The World, Ladies) to win the Cup.

The Cup was most recently won by the Ladies team, led by Hayley Turner, who sealed the win with victory on board New Image in the final handicap of the day.

Then on Saturday 18th October, the 2025 edition of the highly prestigious QIPCO British Champions Day will be taking place. It will be day full of extraordinary racing that will include some of the world’s best jockeys, horses and trainers who will be going head to head to win some of the sport’s most iconic races, with a number of them being Group 1 outings.

The Fireworks Spectacular Family Race Day will be returning to the historic Ascot Racecourse for 2025 on Saturday 1st November. There will not only be be a stunning display of more than 20,000 fireworks, the famous Gold Cup Handicap Chase will be also making its long awaited return.

The November Racing Weekend will then be taking from Friday 21st November to Saturday 22nd November 2025. Here, you will see some stars of the future, with each race featuring some of the world’s most promising novice hurdlers and chasers. There will be glory at stake for each of the horses, jockeys and trainers across the weekend in what will be an enjoyable weekend for all those in attendance!
