Official Ireland v England Hospitality Packages – Guinness Six Nations 2025
One of the most iconic rivalries in international rugby is set to be renewed when Andy Farrell’s Ireland take on an England team led by Head Coach Steve Borthwick in the 2025 Guinness Six Nations Championships. England will be one of the teams looking to dethrone reigning Champions Ireland, and victory here would help their cause. Meanwhile, Ireland are looking for a historic third Six Nations triumph in as many years.
This highly anticipated fixture will take place at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland, on Saturday, February 1st, 2025, with a 16:45 p.m. kick-off.
Following Joe Schmidt’s departure from the Ireland hot seat after 6 years in the role, Andy Farrell was appointed as his successor in 2019. During his time in the role, he has led them to 2 successive Six Nations Championships in 2023 and 2024, including a highly coveted Grand Slam in 2023 and two triple crowns in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
Ireland’s wins in the Six Nations in 2023 and 2024 are two of the nation’s total six, with the other four coming in 2009, 2014, 2015, and 2018.
Moving on to England, they have won the Guinness Six Nations the most times of any nation with no less than 7, this includes winning three of the first four Six Nations Championships in 2000, 2001 and in 2003 with France winning the title in 2002. Their other 4 wins have come in 2011, 2016, 2017 and in 2020.
In the 2024 Six Nations Championship, England recorded a historic 23 – 22 victory at Twickenham in Round Four. Borthwick’s side went on to finish in a respectable third place after accumulating 14 points from their five matches overall.
Both Ireland and England are in the highly prestigious top ten of the world rugby rankings as of the time of writing. Ireland is second with 90.69 points after winning what was a second successive Six Nations title, with only South Africa, on 94.54, above them in first place. England is fifth with 85.75 points.
England’s victory in the 2024 Championship was memorable, but there have been other famous moments in this fixture over the years. One particular moment came in the 2003 championship, where a Clive Woodward England side, inspired by the iconic Jonny Wilkinson, soared to a famous and emphatic 42 – 6 victory in Dublin. Woodward’s side did, of course, go on to win the 2003 Six Nations Championship.
Another particularly memorable moment in this fixture came in 2018, when Ireland, after already securing the title, dominated England on their own home turf. Garry Ringrose, CJ Stander and Jacob Stockdale were all scorers of tries in the first half alone, with a 21 – 5 lead at the break. Ireland would go on to win 15 – 24 against their rivals.
Overall, in all competitions, Ireland and England have played against each other on 142 occasions over the years, with England having the most wins with 81, compared to 53 in all for Ireland as of the time of writing. There have been just 8 draws between these two fierce rivals over the years.
Excitement and anticipation will certainly be building ahead of the renewal of one of international rugby’s biggest and most intense rivalries at the 2025 Guinness Six Nations at the famous and iconic Aviva Stadium on Saturday, 1st February 2025. It is set to be a 16:45 kick-off that afternoon in Dublin.
