Wales will once again participate in the highly prestigious Guinness Six Nations when this Championship makes its long-awaited return in 2026. They will be looking to seal what would be their seventh triumph in the Six Nations, having also done so in 2005, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2019, and most recently in 2021.
They have also achieved the highly coveted and sought after Grand Slam on several occasions, doing so in 2005, 2008, 2012, and 2019. Wales and their fans will be hoping for a positive campaign, and the atmosphere at the games in Cardiff is going to be sensational as their team looks to seal some statement victories at the next Six Nations Championship in 2026.
Their most recent Six Nations Championship in 2025 was disappointing, with the team finishing bottom of the standings in sixth place having unfortunately won none of their five matches. They were defeated by eventual winners France in their opening game before then going toe to toe with Italy in Rome, where whilst they were defeated, this was a more spirited display with Wales narrowly losing 22 – 15 overall in the end at the Stadio Olimpico.
There was then also a competitive game with Ireland that was narrowly lost 18 – 27 at the Principality Stadium. The defeat against rivals Scotland at Murrayfield was competitive and particularly narrow, with the hosts only beating visitors Wales 35 – 29 in the end.
Unfortunately for Wales, they were only able to amass a total of 3 points in the end, which is something that they will look to considerably improve upon at the next Guinness Six Nations Championship in 2026. As previously mentioned, the atmosphere at the Principality Stadium is electric, and it will be once again at the next Six Nations Championship matches in Cardiff.
All eyes for Wales and their fans are on the upcoming Guinness Six Nations Championship in 2026, where they will be optimistic, as they look to significantly improve on their 6th place finish back in the 2025 version of this highly prestigious Championship. Wales will also be looking to earn some statement results in these matches in 2026 to boot, as well.
