New track Dark Matter released by Pearl Jam

Dark Matter is their first LP (Long Play) for four years, with the full album of the same name to be released in April – just months before they perform at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Pearl Jam are a rock band that holds an iconic status throughout the United States and the world, and they have recently released the title track from their latest album set for release in April this year – Dark Matter.

Founded in Seattle more than 30 years ago in 1990, this band have only been on the rise with them enjoying plenty of success over the years. There are currently five members: Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready and Matt Cameron. Every member of Pearl Jam, except for Cameron, has been with the rock band since its very beginning. Cameron joined the line-up eight years after the band’s founding in 1998.

The band’s debut album went by the name of ‘Ten’, which enjoyed great success, reaching number two on the Billboard charts, and the album itself was certified Gold. Several tracks from this album hold a special place in the heart of the ‘Ten Club’ (the Band’s fan club) and other fans across the world, including ‘Black’, ‘Alive’, ‘Even Flow’ and ‘Jeremy’.

The pick of the bunch is arguably ‘Even Flow’, which holds iconic status. The track reached as high as number 3 in the Mainstream Rock Tracks Chart and was included in the ‘greatest hits’ album that Pearl Jam released more than 10 years later in 2004.

Overall, the band has sold more than 85 million albums worldwide in their more than 30 years of existence.

On Spotify, the band’s songs have collectively accumulated 12.8 million listens. Their presence on the major social media platforms are good, with them having 3.2 million followers on Instagram, 3.4 million on X and 10 million followers on Facebook.

Fast forward to 2024, which will see Pearl Jam travel to a plethora of places around the world – 41 dates to be precise – as part of their Dark Matter World Tour. The title track has been released on 13th February, ahead of the remainder of the new album later this year, and since it’s publication on YouTube on the same day, it has accumulated more than 421,000 views as of the time of writing.

Pearl Jam’s YouTube channel itself has no less than 2.12 million subscribers as of the time of writing.

The band will be heading to the United Kingdom after a prolonged period away, with them set to perform at the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London. Spurs’ multi-purpose venue is the only stadium in the UK that will be hosting a performance from Pearl Jam during the entirety of their Dark Matter World Tour.

Pearl Jam will be taking to the stage at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, 29th June 2024. They will not be alone – they are set to be supported by two other artists – Richard Ashcroft and The Murder Capital.

It has been rare that Pearl Jam have performed in the Great Britain, and with this being a one night performance, this is an event in North London that no fan will want to miss! Excitement and anticipation is growing amongst the band’s fanbase, with UK fans looking forward to when the band travel to Britain in June 2024.
